Upsides and downsides to owning an African pygmy hedgehog?

Upside: they are super cute

Fun to watch

Reasonably Easy to look after (providing you do all the right research)

They have their own Personalitys

They can be your best friend just like any pet

Downside: gettin. All the equipment you need can me expencive

They don't look for affection

They need daily interaction (this could also be a good thing)

They are nocturnal, they can be changed to come out during the day but it takes time

They can take a while to get bonded with you

Depending on what age you get one at you may need to deal with it quilling.

They aren't allowed in clubs but they don't order expensive stuff in resturants.

It might molest you while you're sleeping
