Missing Yahoo Widget Gallery on Samsung TVs?
After working fine for a long time, on the last weekend of March my Samsung Series 6 LCD smart tv started giving a message of "There is no widget gallery. Please check out hub-site." Pushing the Internet button on the remote only gives that message. Judging from online discussion sites, others seem to be having the same issue. After many online chats and phone discussions with Samsung (and factory resetting the television), they have said this is a Yahoo issue and to contact Yahoo as they can do nothing. I can't find any information on the Yahoo site about solving the problem. Ideas? No Widget Gallery means no Amazon movies, Pandora, Flickr, etc. Thanks.
5/31/15 update - Widgets may be working again. Just clicked on the Samsung "Internet" button and received a never-seen-before long disclaimer about installing widgets. Then a software update of installing widgets lasted for about 10 minutes. Finally, a "Welcome to Yahoo! TV Widgets" screen came up. Haven't tried them all yet, but it seems like progress. Hope others have a similar experience.
5/31/15 update - Spoke to soon. Widgets have reappeared and can get to now. However, if I use the up, down, left or right arrow on the remote, the tv shuts down and restarts. Have reset the tv to factory settings, uninstalled and reinstalled software, unplugged the tv, and replaced remote batteries. Have also talked with Samsung again at length this morning. While pleasant, they had no suggestions to fix other than to have a Samsung technician visit the house.

Same problem with a UN55B7000 model. Nothing useful from Samsung other than attempt a factory reset (which I've done multiple times). Found a discussion online that suggested assigning a different internet address, and another suggested to unplugged the TV overnight; did both and still get the same message: "No widget gallery. Check out hub site." WTFO?

Same problem here with a LN46B750. Worked fine since 2010. Quit a month ago. Samsung no help. Talked to 5 different support people and they all said the same thing as has been stated.

New TV in the works, and it definitely will NOT be a Samsung because of this problem. I don't care if it's a Yahoo problem. Since it's a Samsung TV, I feel it's Samsung's problem they need to fix.

Same problem....called Samsung, told to do factory reset. It worked for that day, next day problem is back. Every time you do a reset, you loose all network connections and custom settings. Samsung has quickly lost my support. I have 3 of them, if they don't fix this, there will be no more Samsung in my home!

Same issue here, I really miss Pandora. I have seen some online discussions stating that assigning an IP address to some generic Google address solves the issue. I have been reluctant to do that because it looks like you also have to assign the other stuff...subnet mask etc and I m not sure how to do that. Maybe our ISP can give support with that issue? Please post back if you solve this. Thank you for posting.

I have the exact same problem and I'm relieved I'm not the only one - misery loves company! If a solution becomes available then please post it back here so we can all benefit; I'd like to avoid having to shell out money for a Roku, Fire, or Chromecast stick just to get what I should already have!

same thing with my PN50B650S1F. it was a few weeks back it suddenly stopped working and gave us that message. does anyone else recall the date yours stopped working? if all of us can say it was around the same day maybe we can get them to look into it or at least tell us what they changed. it's ridiculous an important input source for the tv is completely dependent on a third party who is blowing us off.

Got updates to my UN46B7100 last night - the widgets are there, but any attempt to use them results in the TV shutting down and restarting. They are unusable as-is
