9th Grade math: Finding the zeros of a function?

I really do not understand how to find the zeros of a function. For example, f(x)=-2x^2 +x , and according to the back of the book (This is a problem that I don t have to do because the answers are in the back of the book) the answer is 0, 1/5.

Could you please explain how to do this? and explain it with this problem too?

f(x)=x^2-15x

    The book is incorrect. The roots are 0, ½.

    f(x) = -2x²+x

    You need to solve -2x²+x = 0.

    x(1-2x) = 0

    x = 0 or 1-2x = 0

    x = 0 or ½

    :::::

    f(x) = x²-15x

    solve x²-15x = 0

    x(x-15) = 0

    x = 0, 15
