strange (?) guitar sound preference?
I have a guitar (and some bass guitars); I've noticed that I prefer the sound of the A string (the second string) to the E string (the first string) - in fact all other strings sound nicer to me.
I don't think it's just a matter of frequency, so .... what might be the reason for this slight aversion?
I also have an e-violin and there the E string (the fourth) is my least favourite sounding ...

The A string is the fifth string, not the second string (the B string is the second string). Strings 1 to 6 go from thinnest to thickest. Also, if you prefer the A string I'm not sure why you call it an aversion, which is the exact opposite of a preference.
