For me in Britain it would generally be: "He usually buys $60 dollars worth every time he gets petrol". I would not speak of "each visit". Await answers from Americans about their normal ways.

Note that Americans work in Dollars ($) and speak of "gas" or "gasoline", but Britons work in Pounds (£) and speak of "petrol".

I think it should be "worth". It would be helpful if you could provide a reason for your answer. Thanks.
