Video Cropping tool?
I am editing video, but this video is in 720p HD 16:9. I want to crop out the sides of the video so that it is 960x720 rather than 1280x720. The reason I want to do this is so it will fit a monitor I use which is 4:3 aspect ratio. Is there any free safe and legit tools online or downloadable to crop video like that in? I tried looking for one but i can't figure out what to type in to look for that. Thank you for all your potential answers.

Two come to mind:
- RAD Video Tools http://www.radgametools.com/down/Bink/RADTools.exe
the easier of the two, since it has a GUI
- ffmpeg http://www.ffmpeg.org/
overflowing with features, but command-line only
Be warned that you risk removing content at the sides that won't fit a 4:3 frame. It would be better to use a more advanced editor that allows you to "pan and scan" or move the cropping frame as needed.

I have used the windows movie maker. When saving the movie you choose a format to save it in, which includes the frame size.
