What type of lawyer do I need to reach out to?

We were tenants of an apartment complex that sent us to collections. We came to an agreement that we'd pay the balance in full for immediate removal of the account from all credit bureaus. This was a written agreement which we have documentation of. Its been over two months since we've paid the collection agency and they've not fulfilled their part of the agreement. We would like to possibly pursue legal action due to the fact we've been denied housing on several occasions due to this non fulfillment.

No type of lawyer can help you. Most things cannot be removed from a credit report after they have been paid. Getting an agreement that there will be full, immediate removal is like getting an agreement that the collection agency will make the sun stop shining or the earth stop rotating. It's something that they can't do, and getting them to agree to do it is pointless, because they can't do it.
