How do you over clock a cpu and gpu?

I'm looking at this laptop and I can get it overclocked on the website but they charge $100 for overclocking so my question is can I do it myself or would I be better off paying to get it overclocked at the factory

    you shouldnt overclock laptops they dont have adequate cooling, youll get worse performance due to thermal throttling

    dont do it... unless you overclock it to a crazy amount you will not see much performance increase....
