Why do Republicans think everyone should support themselves EXCEPT for the children of Rich People?

Republicans don't think that at all. The general understanding of conservatives is that people should exercise self-responsibility, but at the same time be free to help others in need.

The problem with helping others begins when the government gets involved, and forces people to be "charitable," by taking their money at the point of a gun. This leads to all sorts of unintended consequences, such as family breakdown and societal dysfunction.

That's why LBJ's War on Poverty begun in the mid-1960s has been such a miserable failure.

Voluntary charity would work way way better than the coercive sort that we engage in today.

Remember the saying that the rich are different? Republicans believe that

They think in binary terms.

They have fully absorbed the propaganda.

It would never occur to them that limitless freedom in a system that promotes wealth accumulation is essentially the same as aristocracy for all intents and purposes.

I am not concerned with anyone's activity that I am not paying for; unless it harms another.

If George Soros wants to spend his money on his children then more power to him.

When he asks me to pay for it then we have a problem.

Over work works for most rich people-- LITERALLY!

So Dems & Republicans all support our OVER WORK - not efficiency.

I think people should be able to spend their money however THEY choose.

If that means taking care of their children that is fine.

i have a $20.00 bill in my pocket, it was printed in 1999....HOW many times has IT been taxed?....or used to pay a tax?...or used to buy something including the tax?

YES! Paris Hilton should have to pay a progressive tax over any inheritance over $10,000,000.00...and if Trump hadn't inherited $256,000,000.00 in 1976 would he REALLY be be worth $257,000,000.00 today?
