For my fellow Christians, Can the Gospel be taught in the absence of the Law? God bless you,?
As say 'law' as both the general law of God written upon our hearts and also the 'Mosaic Law'(not actually practiced by Christianity but used as a teacher).

The gospels and the 10 commandments go hand in hand friend. The Law is of Love & Liberty..just as the Gospels. The mosaic laws were nailed to the cross..those laws were handwritten by Moses and printed forward to the slain and risen Lamb. An end to sacrificial laws.

The Christian message is that our salvation comes through a faith which causes us to be reborn so that we have the desire within us to follow God and to do "good works" rather than through the following of rituals, feast and other laws. As such, the Christian gospel is independent of the Mosaic Law.
However the Mosaic Law serves as a "tutor" (to quote the apostle Paul) that brings us to Christ. It first faces us with our own sinfulness and our need for salvation and the rebirth. It also give the prophecies of Christ - seen in most of the rituals of the Mosaic Law - so that we understand who he is and what he has accomplished.
It would be difficult to separate Christian from the Mosaic Law. If you read through the Gospels, almost everything that Jesus taught implies an understanding of the Law, and builds off of concepts found in the Law. Much of the writings of Paul - even those addressed the mostly Gentile churches - reference the Law frequently and assume that the writers are familiar with the Law. If the Old Testament were to disappear, much of the New Testament would be incomprehensible in many places. So to try to teach the actual "Gospels" as found in the NT would be impossible.
Christians are not bound to follow the Mosaic Law. But they do need to have an understanding of it to understand the Christian faith. Just as a foundation in English law and Western culture is needed to fully understand the American legal system. While we are not bound by British law, so much of our law comes from it that we need to understand the concepts of British law to fully understand American law.

The Gospel is Jesus Christ and his death on the cross. The Law had only one purpose, to drive humans to see the need for Jesus' sacrifice. So, yes, the Gospel has nothing to do with the Law other than the fact that the Law leads one to see the need for the gospel. For those in Christ, the Law is gone, nullified, of no further use.

If you consider Jesus' words, then the Gospel can only be understood and appreciated in the light of the Law.
(Matthew 22:36-40) 36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 He said to him: “‘You must love Jehovah your God with your whole heart and with your whole soul and with your whole mind.’ 38 This is the greatest and first commandment. 39 The second, like it, is this: ‘You must love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets.”
Without the foundation of the Law, the purpose of the Gospel would be only for salvation, being saved by the Christ. But from Jesus' words, which ties to law, shows that Gospel is tied to love of Jehovah God and love of neighbor.

The message of the gospel is a message of salvation through faith only. The "law" has nothing to do with it.
If you examine Scripture carefully, you will discover that the "law" placed within the believer is said to "convert the soul". This "law" is God's Holy Spirit, which becomes the guiding light to the believer, and not a written code given to, and required of a stiff-necked, rebellious, faithless people.

The absence of the law - do you mean Biblical law? because here is biblical law: Kill anyone who works on the Sabbath (Ex 31:15), kill disobedient children (Ex 21:15), kill adulterers (Lv 20:10), kill non-Hebrews (Dt 20:16-17), kill witches (Ex 22:18), kill gays (Rom 1:21-32), blasphemers (Lv 24:14), any bride who's not a virgin (Dt 22:21)...

I would argue that the Gospel makes no sense without the Law. The Gospel tells of the one person in history who fulfilled the whole Law, and broke the chains of our transgressions of the Law so we could be free.
In order to understand the Gospel, you have to understand the objective justice of the Law and why it exists - why sin exists and why God abhors it.

Getting downvoted purely on the basis that I said something that doesn't attack Christianity, even though the question is directed towards Christians and asks of an introspective viewpoint on Christianity -- amazing.
