Constipated, what should I do?

It's more of a I can't pass a stool, it's large and it hurts so badly, so eventually I didn't pass it. I'm 21 and my parents gave me a stool softener, but I still have to go, and when i did, it's like mucus came out and that was it. I was reading that it means I've ruptured my bowels and it could kill me, what should I do, i don't see a doctor until tomorrow?

I do have hemorrhoids and it has been bleeding a lot.

From the sounds of it, you do sound like your constipated and your hemorrhoids could be bleeding possibly because your straining too much while trying to pass a BM. In addition to that stool softener, make sure your getting plenty of fluids (WATER NOT POP), and some exercise, if it is just walking.

Also, if you perf'd your bowels you'd probably know. Signs of perforation or peritonitis would be symptoms such as abdominal distention, no bowel sounds, gas production, no passing stool, severe abdominal pain, and possibly a high fever.

Sometimes a fecal impaction has to be removed manually. Followed by enemas, laxatives and a high fiber diet.

see ur dr first thing in the morning as they recommend fast remedies; but as a daily routine, try olive oil which helps a lot. Also,take a combination of black coffee and apple every morning.

There are pills and stuff that you can get at the store and make sure to drink plenty of water that helps.

try miralax or if you're really desperate, a saline enema
