I am unhappy and suicidal - is there a book I can read that will help me besides The Bible?

If you are a christian person, all you need is the bile and patience in God.He will comfort your heart.Just pray and I will keep you in my prayer as well. If you are a christian, God will make a way. Read Psalm 547:1-2 over and over again. All you need is God and his word and faith.. Draw close to the bible and you will draw close to the Lord. The bible teaches this. Why don't you sit down and write down, why are you so unhappy Is it about having more of this world? That is NOT a good reason for a christian? not at all. Then why?????.

Yes. But personal help from a mental health professional is the best course when you are suicidal. If it is bad enough, consider it a medical emergency.

Call a friend to sit with you or meet you at a hospital emergency room.

I've got a few books to recommend, but I prefer you take bolder action.

There are plenty but you're better off with therapy.

There's also a hotline you can call if you ever have suicidal urges.

Do a quick google search on therapeutic books to help with depression.

Read some Buddhist or Epicurean philosophy. If the Bible is all you read, its no wonder you're suicidal. The Bible teaches humans and life are innately bad. Life is good. Life is our gift. Life is all we have.

ANYTHING but the bible. Because the bible and religion want you to believe there's something better AFTER you kill yourself.

I'd recommend "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch or check out his YouTube video to give you a bit of perspective.

Jesus! Don't read the bible! Read any self-help book. Go to library or book store or Amazon and search for depression. Also, search web for depression support.

If you're suicidal, I'd suggest calling a suicide hotline and letting them help you.
