Should I replace the stylus or cartridge?

It is almost time for me to replace my needle on my Ortofon 2M Blue. Should I replace the Ortofon 2M Blue stylus or try an M97Xe with a Jico SAS stylus? I have always wanted to try it and I feel now may be the time. If anyone has experienced both at some point that would be great. What differences can I expect to hear? Would I be better off sticking with the Ortofon? I am using a Technics 1200 MKII.

If you like the dynamics of the Ortofon, just stick with it. The Shure is going to give a laid-back (but easy, smooth) sound. Not a fan of this upgraded stylus concept.. might as well spend that money on a higher end cartridge and be done with it.

What makes the Shure a real gem is what it does for the money. Buying a $200 stylus for it is just plain crazy in my book.. and maybe a little "snake oil".
