Can you get house arrest for running away from home?
My friend is on house arrest and she said it's because she ran away but I don't think that's a legal punishment for running away... I Think she did something worse and im kinda worried about her. I live in Ohio btw

Her parents probably had a lot to do w/ that as a way to control her behavior I had one at 15 for running away & cut it off Nothing happened to me I was released to my mom. However I shouldve listened to the Judge about turning my life around while I still could cuz now im 36 & have a criminial record that keeps me from getting a job. ANY job I wish I had listened so stay out of it Her parents are trying to save her while they still can

It could be as she said. The court may have decided that she was outside of parental control and stepped in to help out the parents. Generally, courts have a lot of discretion with minors and can act in the role of parent if needed.
