Aluminum Foil from kitchen VS Metal Oxide Thermal CPU Paste; R/C Heli main motor (brushed)- slight gap between the motor and heatsink?

: The main motor is surrounded by a thin aluminum heatsink (no cooling fins, just flat round alum.)

but does not make very tight contact with it, there's a slight gap between the heatsink

and the brushed motor.

Would there be a big temp diff. between using regular kitchen aluminum foil to fill the gap,

such that it's worth the time, money, shipping, etc.. for this instead;

Update:

Photo of main motor and heatsink that wraps around it;

SHOULD I Use the paste or some aluminum foil, or just leave the gap?

The gap is small and I have already burned up three motors despite following proper break in procedure
