Simplify log z+8=15?

    8 - 15 = 7

    7 = z

    7 + 8 = 15

    The other answers fail to take into account the common logarithm in the equation.

    - Subtracting 8 from each side gives log z = 7.

    - Taking the inverse of common log (log base 10) gives z = 10^7.

    - This cannot be simplified further, thus z = 10^7, or 10 million.

    The answer is 7. You first do the inverse operation so you subtract 8 from +8 and 15. Then you will get 7 on the side with 15 and you'll be left with z on the other side since you subtracted eight from eight. Z=7. I hope I helped!
