Does this happen to anyone else?

You ask a question, and then get many answers in the first minute and after that it's done

    Depends on the question. Once I ended up with only one answers to a question - so that one lasted about 2 minutes? LOL! Another time I had almost 800 answers - this one lasted for about a week and a half. It really depends on how much passion people have for a particular topic.

    well everybody wants to be the first to answer, so seeing something already has some answers makes people not bother

    and it's inherent in Yahoo's design; it takes a lot of scrolling to get to older questions, especially in the more popular categories (so again, why bother?)

    I suppose many other, like myself, only really answer questions on the first page

    most questions have received several suitable answers before it falls off the first page

    QUite comm on on here, then years later you get another answer or two
