Laptop isnt reading SD card. Help?
My new laptop (windows 8.1) will not read my sd card. I looked under device manager and the sd card was not listed. Any suggestions?
I turned off my laptop and back on and tried again but nothing.
Do i need a driver? I have a Dell Inspiron

run troubleshooting in the control panel. hardware and sound, hardware and devices and follow through

It should automatically read the card. Have you tried clicking on File Explorer and manually checking to see if the card is readablle. Might be the card.
