Why do some Christians claim that only they have "morals" and why should the rest of the community put up with it?

Christian "morality" is not attached to actual deeds or actions. You can be like Jim Bakker and rape your secretary and then steal from the church to pay her off and still be moral.
The rest of the world sees all of the sex scandals, the drug abuse, the numbers of christians in prison, and the pedophile epidemic in the churches. ONLY a christian could consider christians "moral" and that requires a very, very relaxed standard for morality. Basically, "I am a christian, so I am moral!"

Christ is not the author of confusion, but of peace - 1st Corinthians 14:33. People who follow the Prince of Peace are called Christians. To be a Christian you must follow Christ's path. Liars who say Christians are immoral are judging and look like fools. Christ was and is unblamable and spotless.
P.S. the rest of the community must follow the law or go to prison. As a Christian I will defend myself, even if I must take a life in self defense. I will NOT hesitate, and God is with me.

distinguish morals from ethics firstly
ethics require thought and reflection
morals are simply written laws of the religious
thats one of the reasons many religions have such trouble coping with medical advances and such
theres nothing in their dodgy books to inform them
imagine if a country had exactly the same set of laws today as it had say 500 years ago
how would it accommodate things like say .. automobiles and much much more

Christians get their morals from the Bible - from God, who says to kill anyone who works on the Sabbath (Ex 31:15), kill disobedient children (Ex 21:15), kill adulterers (Lv 20:10), kill non-Hebrews (Dt 20:16-17), kill witches (Ex 22:18), kill gays (Rom 1:21-32), blasphemers (Lv 24:14), kill any bride who's not a virgin (Dt 22:21).
Jesus agrees: "For instance, Moses gave you this law from God: 'Honor your father and mother,' and 'Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be PUT TO DEATH.'" - Jesus Christ, Mark 7:10.
And the rest of the community does not put up with it. Most "laws" from the Bible are illegal in western societies.

Because.....they need a big stick in the form of their religions to stop them becoming immoral, whereas we atheists do not....easy!
