Russia is not Soviet Union. This isn't really a Cold War 2.

The U.S. is making life difficult for Russia not only the sanctions which was so foolish. The U.S. has started trouble in every part of the region from Ukraine to Yemen. The U.S. should be criticized for all they do to create turmoil.
Russia only helped their fellow Russians in eastern Ukraine with defense forces to try and get equal treatment. The U.S. has to stop provoking and threatening a Cold War. There is no reason to cook up a phantom invasion by Russia into Ukraine or eastern Europe and mobilized NATO. It is all so unnecessary. The U.S. has no business in the Ukraine: giving them millions of dollars and sending in the CIA, the State Dept and special forces.

In my humble opinion, FAR too many Americans are too poorly-educated to grasp that Russia as a country has a TINY budget as compared to the former USSR (a partnership of 17 to 20 nations, depending on how you count!), so why anybody imagines Russia has ANY reason to "be a threat" is beyond me! We could wipe them out in 15 minutes!
Grow a brain, Spence!

Russian military activity in the Arctic and North Atlantic is back to Cold War levels. Russia is finally recovering--at least militarily--from the collapse of the Soviet Union.
They aren't going to sit idly by and watch NATO encroach upon their borders.
