Is changing your accent possible?

I'm from London, but my mum is from Manchester and I think I have a mix between the 2. I would really prefer it if my voice sounded more like a North-Londoner. You know, not really posh, but more of the everyday accent nowadays. I suppose it might help that I'm English, will it. Thanks.

I think so. I am in the US, and dad was from Boston. So I grew up with hearing various words pronounced like they say in Boston (north).

I was born in Philadelphia--and there is a dictinct "Philly" accent, which is very different from Boston!

I still say about a dozen words as if I was born in Boston.

Some I have been able to change!
