    800 = 2e^(0.45x)

    Then start with dividing both sides by 2:

    400 = e^(0.45x)

    Now get the natural log of both sides. This undoes the "e" and leaves only the exponent:

    ln(400) = 0.45x

    Now divide both sides by 0.45:

    x = ln(400) / 0.45

    That is your exact answer. If you want a decimal approximation, use a calculator at this point:

    x ≈ 13.31437
