What's the best way for me to move from NY to Arizona?
I live by myself, and don't think I can afford services to move my bed and TV stand all the way down to Arizona, renting a U-haul would be a hassle because I would then have to make another trip to NY to get my car, and flying down there and having both my car and my items should is probably a lot more than I can afford.

Don't take them. Moving will cost more than they are worth. Take what you can in the car and give the rest away.

Rent a one way uhaul with a car trailer. You TOW your car. See people do it all the time.
