I cropped a print screen, but every time I save it to my pictures folder the whole print screen gets saved? Why?

I don't want the whole print screen! I've saved it already, but no matter what I do it keeps coming up with the whole print screen. Please, help!

You do not say what you are using to crop it. If you paste the print screen into MS Paint, you should be able crop and save the cropped image. However, if you are still using WinXP I don't think Paint can compress the file and save it efficiently (as lossless .png or lossy .jpg).

A free graphic program I use is "gimp" to crop, resize, or make other improvements to pictures. That is because I mostly run Linux at home, but gimp is also available for Windows or Mac.

You need to copy the cropped picture after you save it to clipboard

Which picture editing program did you use to crop it with?
