Is it normal to see someone after they've died?

I was going through a lot at this point, college, work, health issues, family issues, friends passing away (including my best friend) so I ran out of my house in the rain and I went to the woods which is quite close to where I live and I sat beside the river I was kinda crying because she was one of the only few people that I could relate to and understand and things were just building up so I was just sitting there when I heard "You can't run forever you know" and I looked around and I saw her sitting down.. I rubbed my eyes (sort of cliche but it was my first instinct) and she was gone. I wish i didn't rub my eyes or blink at all so I could see her again.. was this normal? I haven't told my family because they'd probably think im mad

Sometimes the mind plays tricks, mainly becabecause you'd want to see or talk to this person again, after my mom past away I thought I heard her voice every now and then, once I was through most of the pain it kinda went away, then my sister died and me and her were really close, and I swore I had seen her a few times, it even got to were some people looked straight up like her but once again when the pain of her loss wasn't tearing me up inside this stopped happening. You can miss someone so much that you start thinking you can hear them and see them, trust me I have been through the worst of the worst and it can make the world a totally different place.

    That's actually a common thing.

Oh yes - I've heard this many times. It's a common hallucination - and people often come back in dreams too.

Maybe you're getting paranoid. You might need counseling to get over her death. I'm sorry for your loss to. You're probably tired to and need some rest. It happens to me too. I hear stuff that doesn't actually happen. It's usually when I'm tired stressed or scared. I hope this helps. >.<
