I spin/Y spin help?

Hi y'all :)

So spinning has always been a struggle for me. I was wondering if for I spins (or Y spins) if they are possible to do forward. I always see people do back I spins, but I'm an opposite yet I usually lift my left leg. I know you have to lean back a bit, so it's easier to do it as a back spin, but I don't know, is it possible to do forward?

Also any tips on I spins in general?

Because the spin is done more on the little toe rather than the ball of the foot. Doing it as a backspin makes it easy. When you lift the leg do you notice how far back the body goes? A forward spin would have a hard time managing that
