Question regarding an error struck coin.?

I have a friend at work who said his dad has a 1964 silver coin where the word "United" on the reverse is spelled wrong. He said he hasn't seen it since he was 12 and his dad won't tell him where it is, I assume because of it's intrinsic value. I thought he said it was an Eisenhower coin, but they weren't minted in 1964. Does anyone know what coin this could be and how much it could be?

Intrinsic value is value in the metal alone. No silver coin has an intrinsic value so great that you wouldn't be allowed to see it. Numismatic (collector) value is what you mean regarding that aspect.

1964 silver coins were the dime, quarter and half dollar (first year of Kennedy). The coin needs to be seen to know if it's a striking error. Until you know what it is, you can't get a value.
