    Putting it simply no. The earth has actually been hit by quite a lot of Asteroids and Meteors throughout history including the one that allegedly wiped out the dinosaurs and an even bigger asteroid which caused the tanguska explosion which was bigger and killed nothing.

    Yeah. Somewhere on earth a meteorite will fall within the next few minutes.

    No. We know there is no such collision possible in the next 50 years.

    We know the orbits of all the big rocks.
