  • What did the Romans actually do in the Bible?

Question is as simple as it sounds I ve never actually read the Bible but from what I understand people back then tended to be afraid of the Romans. Are they the ones who put Jesus on the Crucifix?

  • Does Mount Vesuvius share the same Magma Chamber as Campi Flegrei?

I've read that 8 Kilometers below Vesuvius is it's 400 SQ Kilometer Magma Chamber and baring in mind that it's within 100 miles of the super volcano Campi Flegrei wouldn't that mean that they share the same Magma Chamber? Also wouldn't it also account for and explain why Vesuvius is such a violent Strato Volcano?

  • Did Mount Vesuvius destroy Pompeii or did it bury it?

I'm very curious about the details because judging by the accounts of what I've read about the 78 AD and many of Vesuvius's subsequent eruptions is that very little of the damage seems to have been caused by the Lava.

That makes me wonder if the damage was caused by the Pyroclastic Flow which I assume must've buried it under a huge amount of rock and ash.

  • A few questions regarding the novel Journey to the West?

This is probably the only novel in the 16th century (outside of William Shakespeares and Plum in the Golden Vase) that could be considered a classic. I have 2 questions though regarding it.

The first is, Is it ever actually stated within any version of the Novel whether Sun Wukong is male or female?

The other question is, has it ever been thought of as a theatrical play?

  • Risto Ryti - Is he seen as a Hero or a Villain in Finland?

The Finnish Prime Minister who during World War II who surrounded on 2 sides, The Germans on one side and The Russians on the other decided to make a very difficult (and very well executed) decision which allowed Finland to come out of WWII stronger than ever.

He decided to ally with Germany with the very specific agreement that SO LONG AS HE REMAIN PRESIDENT, Finland and Germany would remain allies. So Germany sent over a lot of arms and upon doing so Risto Ryti retired and rendered the alliance void allowing Finland to tell Germany to **** off. Then, fully armed thanks to Germany's awesome weapons forced Russia into a non-aggression pact.

I'm just curious how Finnish history views him as his actions essentially allowed Finland to escape WWII unscathed, but he was thrown in jail as a result. So is he seen as a hero or a villain?

  • Who had the bigger empire? Alexander the Great or Ghengis Khan?

By far the 2 greatest military commanders in history (albeit over a 1000 years separating the 2). I'm just wondering in terms of land and how much they attained which of these 2 incredible men had the strongest empire?

  • The BenBen Stone - does it really exist?

I'm a bit of a fanatic when it comes to Egyptology and general archeology and the story of the stone caught my eye. Has the BenBen stone ever really existed and does it exist now as an artifact in a museum somewhere?

  • What does Slender Man actually do?

What I know about the undeniably awesome entity is that he is really tall, slender has black tentacles and appears to stalk his victims. In every "Photograph" of Slender Man he is usually shown stalking a victim (usually the camera is focused on, Children) and whoever encounters him disappears. My question is what does he actually do to his victims? Does he kill them, Does he make them his proxies or does he take them into a world of darkness? I like his presence but I would really appreciate some solid backstory.

  • What effect to fire have on Nephrite? (Jade)?

I'm studying the history of the Imperial Jade Seal (Heirloom Seal of the Realm) of China to try and see what could've happened to it (Assuming it ever existed at all) and one of the main theories is that it was lost when one emperor died of self-immolation but my question is what effect fire would have on it? Would it be able to destroy it or would it simply have been burnt?

  • Is it possible the effects of "Dark Flow" are caused by a Black Hole?

As I understand it when people refer to Dark Flow they're referring to a certain location in the Universe which is mysteriously pulling galaxies towards it. Is it conceivable this may be being caused by a Black Hole? If I remember rightly the one of the favoured scenarios of the Ultimate Fate of the Universe is the Big Crunch in which the Super Massive Black Holes at the centre of each galaxy are drawn to each-other before merging and become much stronger. What is the possibility that this maybe what's causing Dark Flow?

We all know the famous killer of the late 1800's and I know that A LOT of the evidence went missing but some of it isn't mentioned at all so I was wondering if anyone could clear up for me whether it's still MIA or has been recovered.

    Specifically

    The "From Hell" letter

    The Dear Boss Letter

    The Saucy Jack Post Card

The Bloodied Apron from the death of Catherine Eddows

  • How is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 viewed in Russia?

The reason I ask is because I've heard rumours it's banned in Russia where elsewhere I've heard the controversial level "No Russian" was removed before the games release. Now besides Japan Who made one of the most hilarious typo's in gaming history (I say hilarious because it was an honest mistake) I would figure the only other country who's opinion should count are the ones who it's related to. Do Russians find the level offensive, Do they like the game or Do they like everyone else I've spoken to not take it too much to heart as it is a game?
