What is the current status of the evidence from the Jack the Ripper killings?

We all know the famous killer of the late 1800's and I know that A LOT of the evidence went missing but some of it isn't mentioned at all so I was wondering if anyone could clear up for me whether it's still MIA or has been recovered.

Specifically

The Half Cannibalised Kidney

The "From Hell" letter

The Dear Boss Letter

The Saucy Jack Post Card

The Bloodied Apron from the death of Catherine Eddows

The Lusk kidney had been kept in a jar of preservative (probably formalin but I don't know for sure) but it dissolved into sludge in the 1960s and had to be disposed of.

The 'From Hell' letter has been lost since at least the 1970s, although photographs of it survive and are in wide circulation. The 'Dear Boss' letter vanished by about 1928 but was returned anonymously to Scotland Yard in 1987. The 'Saucy Jack' postcard is also missing. The original letters are likely to have been stolen from police files as souvenirs or for sale to collectors, although photographs of them are easily found online - for example http://wiki.casebook.org/index.php/Saucy_Jacky_Pos...

I think the Eddowes apron would have been destroyed by the police once their investigation into the killings fizzled out, as it would not have had any forensic use to them - they could not have used tissue or blood type matching at the time, let alone DNA evidence of the killer.

Well, its now pretty widely believed that the Dear Boss letters were faked by the journalist Tom Bulling of the Central News in order to have a good story, demented as it was. The kidney that accompanied the From Hell letter, showed signs of having Bright's Disease, which Catherine Eddowes was known to have suffered from, so it appears to be legitimate. The From Hell letter, because it accompanied the kidney, also appears to be real. Additionally, the letter has many misspellings (which the Dear Boss letters had few of) and grammar mistakes, suggesting a lower class person. The letter also appears to have been written quickly and angrily, and by someone who was suffering psychologically. A short passage in a book says about the the missing files:

"When the official police files were transferred from Scotland Yard to the Public Record Office in the 1980s several of the files itemized on the inventory were found to be missing. Fortunately, extensive notes had been made by various researchers shortly before they disappeared, preserving a number of significant suspects who would otherwise have been overlooked."

The book is from 2006, and I haven't heard anything else on the news about it, so I wouldn't have heard of any new developments.

We are no nearer solving the murders than the police were 120 years ago,all the evidence is gone, the dear boss letter has be proved to have been written by two journalists at the time, but we will never know who killed those poor women,we should just forget it,there are plenty of victorian murders that were never solved,it wasn't much of a police force back then,if you were not found knife or gun in hand standing over the body then there wasn't much chance of catching you. I believe scotland yard has the dear boss letter, but it tells us nothing really,as it was not from the murderer.By the way the apron was probably on the ground before the body was there.

For the purposes of the tourist attractions, the 'Jack the Ripper' walks in London, there is no change as they are making too much money from American and Japanese tourists..so the mystery remains........

Catherine Eddowes descendants together with the Met Police, DNA specialists, crime investigative journalists, family historians who researched descendants of the suspects and together they re-investigated the case about 2 years ago and as there is evidence that can be further investigated which such things as DNA and more sophisticated profiling etc, eg Catherine Eddowes shawl was used to take DNA, this was previously not looked at as it was given back to the family at the time as DNA was not available at that time.....there was a documentary on the whole process on TV and each team of people investigated it separately, they then came together to give their evidence and all had come to the same verdict on today's proof of guilt, which can't be purely circumstantial, so hey know who would have been charge, they know if he had been alive he would have been convicted of the murders, the repeat programme was on TV only last night or the night before and his name was Frederick Bailey Deeming

Deeming lived in Britain in the 1880s, settling in Rainhill near Liverpool where he was later discovered to have killed his first wife and their four children. He later emigrated to Melbourne, where he was eventually hanged in Old Melbourne Gaol in 1892 for the murder of his second wife..... and repeated the same profile in which his victims' throats were slit and their internal organs removed, this was discovered when that case was investigated as previously it had not been associated with the Ripper profile as it happened in Australia

    More on Deeming http://www.casebook.org/suspects/deeming.html

Jack the Ripper maximum probable died of previous age as he replaced into by no potential spoke of, captured, tried and placed in charge. it truly is achieveable he replaced into stuck on yet another fee and no human being knew he replaced into the Ripper. it is particularly unlikely as he might want to be the first serial killer ever captured who did not gloat over his crimes.
