Composing a grad school personal statement, should talk about being international and/or explain why I wanna study in the country?
I mean, I m applying to a specific program and I m spending the majority of the essay talking about the subject and my interest in it. I m not sure if I should insert me being international or answer the question "Why do you want to study in this country/move far away?"

'wanna' is not a word in the English language. I am is only shortened to I'm (note the apostrophe) when you are reporting dialogue and 'insert me being' definitely flags you as a non native speaker. I recommend you get someone that speaks English to check your essay before you submit it. Top priority in a personal statement is to show the university that you can write.
