Rap & Hip Hop: What are your opinions on Macklemore?

I once asked a question about him and I'm just curious about the section's opinions on him, especially since he essentially sold out.

BQ: Have you heard Language of My World and what did you think about it?

BQ2: Got any big plans this summer?

BQ3: What kind of girl (or boy) is your type? Cool, nerd, smoky/edgy, hipster, geek?

BQ4: Start a rumor about another user

He dope. I agree that he's on the pop end of things but he manages to talk about social and personal issues without sounding like a cornball. I do think he relies a little more on Lewis' production that his own rapping ability - his flow can be a little awkward and he sometimes pushes it too far with what rhymes and what doesn't. And on a technical level he's not too complex, although he certainly is capable of it. I'm personally uncertain about Mack's future in the rap game, but I will say that I think The Heist is one of the most important hip hop albums of the last few years and the fact that it got popular is a very good thing even if a lot of people just bought it 'cause the dude is white.

BQ: I have heard a few songs from it but not the whole thing.

BQ2: I'm taking summer classes through June, I'm gonna try to exercise, keep up with my Italian and I'll try to write more often. I also have a 2015 hip hop list on RYM that I've neglected for the past month so I will try to catch up on that.

BQ3: Hipster or nerd I suppose. "geek" is more like someone who goes to Comic Con and watches Firefly, right? I guess I could get with that on some level. I don't really like the idea of putting girls into "types" 'cause, you know, feminism and all that. But I probably wouldn't mess with a girl who didn't have anything to say about anything. People who gossip annoy the fvck out of me. Which leads me to BQ4...

BQ4: Cognautic Creix likes to watch episodes of Firefly while his wannabe hipster bowl-shaped hair girlfriend wears thick-rimmed glasses and listens to Macklemore through her headphones on her Android S6 as she gives him a ******* and insists that he somehow let her c*m first even though she's wearing a strap-on dildo because she wants to assert her sexual identity even though she never lets him have actual vaginal sex with her because she's simultaneously and paradoxically afraid of having sex before marriage, yet she insists that blowjobs don't count as sex but none of this really matters to CC as long as he gets his nut.

That f@ggot supporter is the epitome of what a rapper shouldn't be. He's not even a rapper, he's a pop star who is a slap in the face to hip hop. I don't even know how he calls himself a rapper. He just sounds like one of those try hards who think they can rap that go on a generic pop song. That's ho bad of a rapper he is in my opinion. He's straight up trash.

BQ1: I have heard a few songs from it but not the whole thing. [3]

BQ2: Trying to get a job and I'm going for my permit most likely. Other than that, not a whole lot

BQ3: I honestly don't even know. To be honest, girls don't really interest me right now.

BQ4: Dope Boy's Insane Cousin hasn't been on here because he got charged for raping a 13 year old girl behind a carnival

Yes I have actually listened to his older mixtapes. Way better I gotta say. I didn't like The Heist I found it way too "pop-like" for my taste. Plus I can't say that Macklemore displayed any skills on this album. But his earlier mixtapes were good at least the one I listened to. I think it was called White Privilege but I am not sure. It was good and he rapped some true sh!t. But he is one of the rappers I wouldn't listen to for a long time. I would listen to his good old stuff just to get a taste of what he could be today, but I don't find a replay value in his projects.

    BQ1: Nope.

BQ2: Nope. I wanna start taking drawing/sketching courses but I don't know if I will start this summer.

BQ3: Well I like girls with a good taste in music and not the too flashy type. I like the real hipster style (not the "I wanna look indie because it's in" style) because I am basically a weirdo lol. I like girls who understand my weird personality.

BQ4: I am way too bad at spreading rumors it just doesn't work for me.

BQ4: I heard that NYi once pantie raided his grandma's room.
