Are the questions: "What is real?" and "What is NOT real?" inherently and invariably interconnected?

.

Well, and if you don't feel like pondering the question, there is always music to listen to.

Update:

.

@ It's all Bush's fault: Thanks for the musical offering; not exactly my taste in music, but thanks nonetheless. Shhhhh, don't ya ever show that video to a character called (((((Meds))))), or he might go crazy on your soul [albeit, long dead and gone he might be to these YA grounds] :D

Oh and YES, it IS all Bush's freakin' fault.

"Real" is simply what you can perceive.

    Nothing more, nothing less.

    ((((( < I > )))))

    Some of us never "left".

    Some are just.....imprisoned, for now.

Song - Jethro Tull - "Nothing is Easy".

    Nothing is easy,

    Though time gets you worrying,

    My friend, it's OK

    Just take your life easy

    And stop all that hurrying,

    Be happy my way

    When tension starts mounting

And you've lost count of the pennies you've missed,

    Just try hard

And see why they're not worrying me,

    They're last on my list

    Nothing's easy

    Nothing is easy,

    You'll find that the squeeze

    Won't turn out so bad

    Your fingers may freeze,

    Worse things happen at sea,

There's good times to be had

    So if you're alone

And you're down to the bone,

    Just give us a play

    You'll smile in a while

And discover that I'll get you happy my way

    Nothing's easy

In much the same way as the questions "what is a kumquat" and "what is not a kumquat" are inherently and invariably interconnected. It just sounds less profound to say it when you're talking about kumquats. http://www.newworldencyclopedia.org/entry/Kumquat

It's "really" all an illusion - but that's about the best thread I've read in a year!

I would say inherent, yet variable.

Sort of like how John Entwistle's bass playing

is both real and unreal at the same time..

What is real? The ONE great truth which cannot be denied? Cogito ergo sum.... I think, therefore, I am ....and that these ladies can sing cannot be denied and not a dream... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DG-QyKTmpLo

  • There are those who believe in the unreal. God, etc.

And they believe those beliefs to be real.

How can the idea of something not have an opposite?

    Existence is real.

Sometimes it is easier to find what something is not, in order to find out what it is.

Source(s): In order to prove a scientific theory you must try to disprove it.

I suppose so when you think about it.
