is there any difference to listening to plugged in loud music around noisy backgrounds?
there's a lot of construction around me, jackhammers and crap is loud, I put my headphones on and i normally listen at 6/10 max but this time because the background noise i had to listen at 9/10 which is insanely loud if there wasn't any background noise. is it a bad thing to listen to music really loud around loud background noise?

No. Were I you, I'd leave and go somewhere else - get out of Dodge. I have unusually sensitive hearing.
