Sign-in attempt blocked for my gmail account?
I have this gmail account, which is configured on my computer, my phone and my brother's computer. Today i have received an email from google that they have blocked a sign-in attempt into my account from an unknown computer. This has happened the second time. When I go on the activity page, there is no mention of my brother's laptop being connected. I have the IP address of the unknown computer though and its not my brother's computer. Is someone really trying to hack into my account, who could it be? I haven't changed my password just yet. I don't really know what to do and am really scared. Please tell me what to do.

First trace the IP address and see if it is through a proxy server or is a legitimate address. And is this the same IP that tried before? You don't need to be scared as they never got into your account. Just change your password and watch to see if they try it again.

It is trying to be hacked so keep changing your password every 3 days then you shud be fine

Maybe they figured out you are trying to acess the account from a different location.
