I've been having a stalling issue when coming to a stop or just idling?

on my 2000 Nissan Maxima. I think i've got the problem narrowed down to possibly a bad IAC valve but I noticed the car does not stall all with the AC on. Any help I would really appreciate it-- thanks

Yes...likely a dirty or faulty IAC. The computer uses the IAC to control airflow into the engine at closed throttle and thereby control idle speeds and will bump up the idle speed slightly when AC is engaged due to the extra load of the compressor running ...the higher idle speed...extra airflow... may keep the car from stalling when AC is on..

Clean or test the IAC..replace if needed... should cure the stalling.

Possibly.....many many things. Narrow down the possibilities with an OBD code check which can point you right to the area where the trouble is.
