money worries?
Hi. Always seems like im just keeping my head above the water and no more. All my bills are paid at start if the month and im left with appprox £500 for rest of the month. Seems alot but after the various things that always pop up (birthdays, house repairs etc),road tax and mot next month. Il have maybe 1 night out a month, budget like mad, shop at cheap food stores, cook in bulk to make food go further, cycle to work to save on transport. Il prob be lucky to save £50 this month, not enough holidays etc.
I never get a chance to save and it worries me.
I guess im looking to compare what others situation is?

Anything saved is a start. Easiest way is through direct deposit into a separate account, or a auto transfer.
Try writing down every penny you spend in a log for a month or 2 and I mean every penny. Then look back and see if any of it is frivolous.
You didn't mention housing so that is something to look at. Also is the job you have cutting it for you?
Internet, TV, and phone are also big drains many times. See what you can cut back on. Good luck!

If you can cycle to work, then I don't really see why you have a car as well, since money is so tight.
They are a money pit.

Have a look at the princely sum that pensioners get in the UK. Try living on that and keeping warm and buying food.
You have over £100 a week spare !!!
