Safe to eat reheated chicken?
My room-mates have cooked chicken for dinner. They ate half of it, and then let it cool down.
They then decided to put it back in the oven, for safe keeping... (IDIOTS)
I decided I wanted to make my dinner so I preheated the over for about 10 mins, and when I was to put in my food, i realise their mistake, and have inadvertently reheated their chicken somewhat
Is this safe to eat, or should I tell them thier chicken is ruined ?

Reheating is not the issue, the issue is how long was it in the oven and what temperature was the oven at. I assume it was off, so if it had cooled to room temp then there may be a problem. See guidelines below.
"Bacteria grow rapidly between the temperatures of 40° F and 140° F. After food is safely cooked, hot food must be kept hot at 140° F or warmer to prevent bacterial growth. Within 2 hours of cooking food or after it is removed from an appliance keeping it warm, leftovers must be refrigerated. Throw away all perishable foods that have been left in room temperature for more than 2 hours (1 hour if the temperature is over 90° F, such as at an outdoor picnic during summer)."

If the chicken has been reheated to a proper high temperature it will be safe.a

@ two to three hours out of the cooker. that is how long it is safe to leave food out. However, if it was stored improperly to start with, or was contaminated to start with, you might have problems.
