What would the benefits be of converting my air filter from pods back to the original box?
My bike has pod k&n filters and runs fine. Someone on here said the original box air filter will be better?
What benefits would I see from converting back to the box filter??

Better gas mileage.
Individual pod filters allow more air through the carburetors.
To compensate for the increased air flow, the jet sizes have to be increased, which allows in more fuel.
When you revert back to the air box, you will have to change the jet sizes (smaller) back to stock.
Smaller jets, less fuel, better gas mileage.
For your size bike, the power decrease will hardly be noticeable.
The power increase when using pods is only noticeable when the throttle is wide open.
I doubt you will be using your bike on a 1/4 mile drag strip.

less intake noise is one of the advantages! I used to enjoy a loud bike but as the years have gone by I have found it is nice having a quiet bike that you can talk to your passenger on without having to scream back n forth at each other, it is also just plain less stressful especially on long rides allowing for a more relaxed enjoyable ride!
