AC wont turn on when Honeywell thermostat is in Celsius?
Celsius is my prefered unit of temperature and I set my Honeywell Focuspro 5000 to Celsius and it worked for about 2 days. When I got back from work I turned down the temperature from 25C to 23.5C. The thermostat said Cool On but the AC wouldn't turn on. When I turned the thermostat back to Farenheight it worked again. Does anyone know why this could be happening because it doesn't make sense for a different unit to mess up the AC. Thanks!

How long did you wait, after turning it down?
Modern digital thermostats won't let the compressor start up for maybe 10 minutes after it shuts down. If it had just shut down when you came home and adjusted it, it could have been in this interval (which prevents compressor damage).
Try it again. I'd bet that the F / C issue was just a coincidence.
Give it at least 15 minutes.

As Joe said maybe it was in the time delay mode. It would be flashing "cool on" when in the time delay and steady on when not.
