Why are the Bulls' F/O so interested and willing to give Fred Hoiberg the coaching job?

I mean if you look at it, firing Thibs at first glance seemed completely nuts and dumb to most but if you dig deeper you could tell it makes sense....Thibs was a great coach but was too stubborn and would not lead a team to a championship overall. Despite his capabilities to turn the Bulls around numerous times the past years without Rose. But Fred Hoiberg of all people...seems like the F/O just knows him really well with the Iowa connection between him and Forman...or they just want a cheap guy that they can control....or perhaps just dumb? Nothing against Hoiberg but to call up a college coach after firing probably one of the best coaches in the NBA as your first priority for the job is just nuts to me.

You're talking about the same management that tore apart a Jordan led Bulls after the 2nd 3peat. They fired Phil Jackson, let Jordan retire, and traded away Pippen and their veterans for high draft picks and young players.

As far as I'm concerned, that group of owners and managers don't deserve to add more rings to their hands.
