How to respond to girlfriend?
Okay so my girlfriend is adopted and has a cleft lip (repaired now). Earlier in the year she broke down with me there, and got talking about being adopted, wondering why her parents put her up for adoption and what not, asking if it was because of the cleft lip or not... Well she was asking me, like as she was crying and what not what i thought they did and i had like NO idea how to respond, do i tell her i think thats a possibility? (that it was because of her lip) or like i don t even know... if you re wondering, i kind of avoided it and said I don t think it was your lip, and just held her. But I d like to know for future times because its bound to come up again.

No, never tell her that, she needs comfort and its okay to sort of lie a little in such situations, tell her that they were probably too young to take care of her and stuff like that, she should also ask her parents if they have any information about her biological parents.
