tips for a 15 year old dancing with younger kids?
So I'm going on my 3rd year of dance switching schools and I'm going with kids younger than me to catch up. I'm kinda scared that it'll be awkward and horrible. I'm willing to do it, but do you have any tips as to handle class with them? The problem is basically that idk how to act because I'm older but at the same ballet level...and will I eventually speed up to girls my age?

Act the way you would normally act. DON'T act like you're better than them just because you're older than them. You will eventually catch up to girls your age, you'll just need to work really hard and try to catch up.

Be friendly, be open, be yourself. Realistically, you shouldn't be doing much if any talking during class anyway, so it hardly matters.
As for your situation, it is pretty common actually. It could be a blessing in disguise. I know one now former NYCB dancer who was actually sent back to classes with 8 year olds for a time when she was 13. Obviously, she quickly excelled, so the instructor must have made the right decision.
Being older, you do have an advantage. You have better command and understanding of your body, so it possible that you may catch up to some extent. It really depends on how far back you've been sent, but more importantly WHY.

Well thankfully in class you don't really talk. Just focus on yourself and your own dancing.
