Hogging the left lane ?
I see a lot of drivers, and I have to be honest when I say that the majority are women, who will happily sit in the left (fast) lane on 2 or 3 lane highways and remain perfectly level with the car in the lane beside them, or even drive slower than that vehicle forcing other drivers to pull into the "slow" lane and undertake them.
Exactly what are the rules of the road in this situation, I learned to drive in Europe and you will receive a ticket there if you block a fast lane in this way - but is it just accepted here ?
If it makes any difference I'm in Arizona.

Many states have rules that require slower vehicles to drive in the right-hand lane on multi-lane highways and leave the left lane open as a "passing lane". Unfortunately, these rules are hardly ever enforced, and there's not much you can do about it, except just relax and enjoy the ride.

Anyone driving slow on the left lane deserves the horn unless there is actually slow traffic ahead.
