That very thing happened to me about a week ago, and the bank had to investigate the whole thing.

Nope.
If I did, I would probably have to call the phone number on the ATM and I hate phone calls. My bank is just an online bank, and I use any ATM (e.g. in the train station, in some other bank, or the ones in the street).
I only withdraw 20 € at a time, which is the minimum you can withdraw, so a wrong amount would most likely mean more money. However, if the extra money wasn't taken from my account, that would be theft, so I would give the money back, ethically and legally.

here's one you might not believe but it is true..when atm's first came out..on a friday after work i went to the atm at B of A in windcrest texas...put in my card and asked for balance inquiry...it told me and askrd if id like another transaction..i said yes and withdrew 40 dollars...it asked another transaction i said yes balance inquiry it didnt deduct my withdraw...so after a couple hours of playing this game i had 3400 hundred dollars in my hand and the machine was out of cash..on monday morning when i showed up to show them the errors of their machine they were extremely happy to see me...last year in person i handed the teller 4100 dollars in small bills to trade for hundred dollar bills...she handed me 50 of them...several hours later she showed up at my buisness to inform me of her mistake..she made it appear as it was my fault somehow and that she had me on camera..accepting her tip...being honest i had already sepatated it and handed it back..she was so excited i had to remind her to count it before she left my property and to give me a receipt....
