Too many people and not enough tickets? HELP!!?

Tomorrow for my birthday I am planning to go to the cinema with my friends. However, one wasn't sure she could make it (she said she was free but not free). So we presumed she wasn't coming. Now she can come, but we're a ticket short. Six of us are going, and my mum is giving us a lift, as that's the max. our car can take. One of my friends offered to give up my ticket, but this would mix stuff up, as she has food issues which my mum has already prepared for. My mum has done a lot to make this go right, as no one has actually gone to the cinema with me on my birthday, but there are too many people! Also, if she does give up her ticket, I don't want my other friend to think we're asking her because we have a spare ticket! What do I do?

If you are unable to simply purchase another ticket, your best option would be simply to tell the truth to the friend who said she can't come. Tell her that since she said she couldn't come you had an extra ticket so you had to ask someone else to come with you. Now it would be very rude to take that ticket away from her to give to the girl who initially said she couldn't come. You can make it up to her next time, yes?

She can get her own ticket and her parents drop her off and from the cinema.

Things come up, just be honest.
