How did George W Bush become more powerful than Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Chris Dodd, and House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank? Are we supposed to believe that George W Bush was more powerful than TWO THIRDS of the United States Government, and that neither the Democratic majorities in the House or the Democratic majorities in the Senate were able to stop him from single handily destroying the US economy back in 2008?

EXACTLY!!! It was Frank and Dodd who started it and it went downhill pretty quickly after that. Interestingly, before that, the economy was doing quite well, but Democrats don't remember that. They also don't seem to remember the mortgage scandal that involved a sweet deal between Dodd and Countrywide Mortgage. Former Countrywide Financial loan officer Robert Feinberg says Mr. Dodd knowingly saved thousands of dollars on his refinancing of two properties in 2003 as part of a special program the California mortgage company had for the influential. He also says he has internal company documents that prove Mr. Dodd knew he was getting preferential treatment as a friend of Angelo Mozilo, Countrywide's then-CEO. But Dodd was never called to testify and he never did seem to find those mortgages. He just resigned.

GWB didn't destroy the economy of this nation, he was handed it from Bill Clinton and the Clinton Administration's policies. He was handed the housing and banking crisis that was created by Bill Clinton. It's funny how Libs want to blame Bush but have no clue what actually caused the crisis to happen. They also want to blame the wars on Bush when the truth is this was all the effects of Clinton's terrible and ineffective foreign policy.
