can the morning after pill be taken anytime of the month even after a woman has ovulated as I read once she has ovulated it does not work?

    It works at any time in the menstrual cycle because the pill does two things. It sloughs off the endometrium (so if ever the egg gets fertilized by the sperm, it will not attatch to the endometrium). It makes the endometrium thinner and less ideal for an egg. It's like getting an early menstruation (one that is NOT your period). I also heard that it prevents ovulation by doing something to your brain or hypothalmus glans in there to make it think (your hormones) that you are already pregnant so it doesn't release an egg anymore (when you're pregnant, you're not fertile at all).
