1997 4 cly.Hon. Acc. LX, odo reading 150000. There is no shaking or noises. Oil light comes on at a signal ?

Update:

It was the Switch. They checked the pressure and it was normal, so they changed the switch !

    Assuming you have oil, and it's at the correct level.

    Then it's most likely a Low Engine Oil Pressure warning.

    Turn on the AC. It will trigger the "step-up" for the engine idle and oil pressure regulator. The light should go out.

    This doesn't fix the problem. This is just a Band-Aid.

    It could be a bad sensor or the oil pump itself is going out.

    Also, when was the last time you changed the oil and oil filter?

    Most probably the engine has severe internal wear and at low rpms the pump can not pump enough volume to keep pressure up to a reasonable level, or the pump is severely worn or the oil pickup is clogged.

    maybe you should check the oil. and maybe you should add some if its low.
