what data can be recovered from a single disk from a RAID1 array?

essentially can i securely sell a disk from an array without zeroing out the drive

    RAID 1 is mirroring - both drives in the set have identical data.

    If you connect one of them to a machine, it contains exactly the content as was visible on the raid setup; connect it to the same (or similar) motherboard and it will boot and run with full content..

    You definitely need to wipe it properly first!
